The 17th  European Health Forum Gastein was held between 1-3 October 2014 in the Gastein Valley, Austria. This annual event is a meeting point for experts from different fields within the health system in Europe. At the Forum, Francesca Colombo, Head of the OECD’s Health Division,  talked about data linkage being the key to improving health care efficiencies in Europe. She said “This is a topic that all governments are working on –  the huge opportunities created by linking a large variety and volume of data from medical health records, biological data and administration data.” You can read the press release here.
