PHRN NCRIS Funding

The 2016 National Research Infrastructure Roadmap (2016 Roadmap) was released on 12 May 2017. Therapeutic Development was identified as a focus area with PHRN included as an important component of the integration of existing and emerging large-scale population, tissue, microbial and genomics data sets element.

We are pleased to confirm that the PHRN will receive two years of operational funding from NCRIS starting 1 July 2017.  The terms of reference for the 2016 Roadmap included a requirement for the Expert Working Group to provide "guidance to the Australian Government on priorities and possible allocation of operating funding under NCRIS". The Expert Working Group provided its recommendations to the Minister for Education and Training, Senator the Hon Simon Birmingham.
