PHRN are proud to be sponsoring The 2018 Australian Epidemiological Association (AEA) 31st Anniversary Meeting in Fremantle on 22-24 October 2018.

The meeting theme is The Future of Epidemiology: Maximising the use of data.

They will be considering important issues pertaining to both big data and small data, and how datasets can be combined through linkage to provided enriched sources of information from which epidemiological insights can be gained.

Data linkage has a significant role in reduction of cervical cancer in Australia. The HPV vaccine was introduced in 2007, success of the vaccine was monitored by linking vaccine registers to cervical smear registers in Queensland & Victoria.
