Research Project Manager - Centre for Health Record Linkage

The position manages service provision to researchers conducting population health and human services research using record linkage services provided by the Centre for Health Record Linkage (CHeReL). The role includes facilitating access to the CHeReL by researchers, assisting with study design, developing and implementing appropriate access procedures, and overseeing and reporting the status of linkage projects while ensuring compliance with relevant ethical and data governance requirements. Liaison with counterparts in other states and territories and a national level will also be required.  More information click here.

CASE STUDY

Data linkage has a significant role in reduction of cervical cancer in Australia. The HPV vaccine was introduced in 2007, success of the vaccine was monitored by linking vaccine registers to cervical smear registers in Queensland & Victoria.
