The Australian Longitudinal Study on Women’s Health: linked data showcase
We are excited to host our first webinar for 2021 in our "Linkage Luminaries" series with the Australian Longitudinal Study on Women's Health (ALSWH) on Wednesday 10 March 2021 at 12noon AEST/10am AWST.
The Australian Longitudinal Study on Women’s Health (ALSWH) is a population-based study which explores the health and wellbeing of over 57,000 Australian women across the lifespan. The Study is funded by the Australian Government to provide a freely available evidence base for policy development and research. For the past 25 years, ALSWH has informed health policy across a wide range of issues including reproduction, ageing, chronic conditions, and social determinants of health. This presentation will describe data linkage and data sharing in ALSWH, and highlight some recent findings:
• the association between maternal depression and children’s early development
• the impact of policy change on Vitamin D testing
• the impact of dementia on health service use in the last two years of life.
