How can we maintain community trust in data usage? On day two of the IPDLN conference, this collaborative workshop with HDRN Canada explored social licence issues regarding the use of health data for research.

Spoiler alert...data breaches, AI & government transparency are thought most likely to impact community acceptance of health data.

And congratulations to Julia, Kate and Felicity for their prize-winning poster: “Understanding health data social licence: An international comparison of community attitudes towards health data use across Canada and Australia.”

Dr Kate Miller also spruiked our new metadata platform, which streamlines searching for linked health data in Australia. She showed how researchers can now easily discover and evaluate standardised metadata across sectors and jurisdictions, saving time and enhancing research capabilities.
