Story Detail
Development of national e-learning course for linked data researchers
The Population Health Research Network has developed a national e-learning course for researchers undertaking data linkage research in Australia.
The course aims to support researchers in understanding linkage concepts and processes, planning feasible data linkage projects, and efficiently navigating the application and approval process.
The course covers the types of data that are commonly available for linkage, the benefits and constraints of administrative data for research, a basic understanding of the data linkage process, and guidance on design and feasibility. Additionally, the course addresses data governance, the application process for linked data, and provides supplementary information about costs and timeframes and jurisdiction specific processes.
More information about the PHRN e-learning course will be available shortly.
