Yesterday, CSIRO Futures launched the report: ‘Valuation of increased coordination in Australian biobanking.’
In collaboration with research and government partners, CSIRO has developed a report that estimates the benefits of increased coordination among Australian biobanks and provides five recommendations to enhance the visibility, accessibility, and harmonisation of biobanking.
National coordination will maximise the impact of collected biospecimens and data, support the long-term sustainability of biobanks, and help ensure trusted practices.
The report was developed in collaboration with the NCRIS Health Group (Phenomics Australia, Bioplatforms Australia, National Imaging Facility, PHRN, Therapeutic Innovation Australia and EMBL Australia), NSW Health, University of Sydney, The Medical Advances Without Animals Trust, Queensland Health and the UNSW.
