Hundreds of research infrastructure experts from across the globe attended International Conference on Research Infrastructure (ICRI) in Brisbane and online last week.

Our CE, Dr Merran Smith, joined a panel discussing how the integration and regulation of digital tools in health research will help provide better public health outcomes.

Prof Alan Duffy's Research Infrastructures Beyond 2050 was another highlight, with emerging trends such as digital twins, quantum internet, and global data connectivity reshaping the way we approach discovery and innovation.

For co-host CSIRO, the consensus that enabling research and maintaining operations must go hand in hand was a key takeaway noting, that the most impactful research infrastructure is tailored to meet the diverse needs of its users, with community co-design since a one-size-fits-all approach is rarely effective.

Session recordings and presentations will be available shortly.
